One thing many brothers failed to understand is that, Spending too much time on Facebook ,without doubt , is detrimental to the development of ones Iman. Every time we put up a post, we tend to check our profile repeatedly to see if someone has left any like or comment. The more likes/comment we receive, more satisfied we become. There are others who check the news feed at an incredibly frequent rate. It is a trick of Shaytan to induce us into that which has no benefit at all. He uses all his efforts to keep us far removed from the remembrance of Allah (swt). He beautifies the evil to make it look good. Also, the level of time we excessively waste on Facebook , can easily be utilized to read Quran or other islamic books. Facebook too has its merits Alahmdulillah, but there should be a limit in using it. Lots of people have found guidance through Facebook. Particularly its a good tool for Islamists to propagate the real news as the mainstream media have been too busy to spread inappropriate news regarding Islam and Muslims in order to deceive the masses. To reemphasize There must be a limit in using Facebook May Allah protect us from falling into the destructive trap of Shaytan.
