One thing obsessing over every detail of Lindsey has taught me - you cannot say enough nice things to the people you admire. Its not flattery so much as a pure truth that is often forgotten. So I am going to try to be more like my baby doll and say some things I have felt for a long time and never told ya. The first thing hit me in a picture I just saw from todays completely life altering photo shoot with Tawyna. I wish it was filmed as well cause that could rescue every pit bull everywhere in my humble opinion . What a damn... umm wow moment to go from that destroyed (and just laying it out there cause the kitten action team knows what FYIG means) ... destroyed to so overjoyed to know that one pit bull made it out because people loved my girl with me and made that happen for her... She loved our beat up cowardly dog like you cannot believe. She loved everyone like you cannot believe but what she gave to both Story and I was just epic. Im proud of my friends that made today happen. Its one dog but if it comes with an awareness that these dogs are NOT what you have been told to believe we can save millions of them. One last bit before the point... I can tell you I absolutely reeked of crazy when that dog came up to me. I was Deeeeeep in a moment. She never hesitated... Lindsey let me break every law of safe dog handling you can imagine. By rights any dog alive should have backed up and said whoa... not today man.... not my circus not my monkeys. She was in my lap allowing me to kiss her... rolling on her back in the grass with me cause yeah I am that guy. Ill tell you a secret.... I sincerely believe she prefers women to men... and yet she still loved on me to where I actually felt good again. That is why people who know are devoted to pit bulls. I salute every last one of you rescue organizations that work with pitties. It is a tough battle overcoming a misplaced stereotype. The person i want to thank for her work is Andrea Sams. She was in a pic preparing Lindsey dog for her freedom ride. She has a job that she does fantastically well... having watched her do it I was amazed... and it would rip my heart out to know that despite her best efforts we will never make Greenville work as a no kill shelter. Our population of backyerd breeders will always out race demand. She gets up and does it again every day... knowing the battle has casualties.... wow. Couldnt do it for a week and I salute you Andrea you are a warrior.
