One think I can understand is someones art! Ans what they choose - TopicsExpress

One think I can understand is someones art! Ans what they choose to spend their time and money on producing. This is why I say always communicate the best you can before you even agree to shoot. And always have it n writing. I dont shoot just for fun. Pinup is always fun, so thats a given. But my goals when shooting are either paid or published or both! I dont pay photogrs to shoot me and I dont always need pay to shoot. If a photogr is a pro then trade is fine! I feel its def equal what we both bring. But YES, when I do shoot for trade, its always always for a publication! I have no interested what so ever shooting non pinup. I have no interest in shooting just for fun or for my port. My port is huge! And most of it consist of tear sheets from publications. I understand fully why some folks have no interest in shooting for publications. But its pretty obvious I do! It hols value to me and plays a key role in my future goals! Also adds worth to my academy every single time I am published. I feel MOST and close to all models, weather fitness, pinup, fashion etc etc, want to be published. So thats why its key to communicate this before you agree to shoot. No pinup mags pay period! Most charge a fee to have an ad places because they have so many readers. So ye, to alot of us its of value to be published for more than one reason. I feel most adore being selected outta so many to be featured. I feel most love seeing their work in printed publications! Doesnt mean everyone does or will hold it of value. So I say always make sure u r working w those who have same goals as you when shooting. Personally, I see no point in planning shoots, buying wardrobe, spending hrs getting dolled up, shooting well, just to have images online and fb! So folks can see images and take them for free! If I am not getting paid, Id rather have my work be selected by mags and published than have it all over fb for free with no meaning. It does nothing at all for MY goals to shoot and post my best on fb! But for MY goals being featured does alot! For those who have high goals of being in top mags, or modeling for top designers. Good luck! There are a TON of dolls w full ports, their own web sites and book paid shoots! Most of these dolls are young w super fit bodies and a support team that rocks! Its so very hard to get into a mainstream mag period. They dont take submissions. Either a staff photogrs shoots or one they wk with often! And 9 outta 10 models who shoot and get paid, are top pros w agents! Even within pinup mags, there are some that are soooo very hard to get in. So it just all goes back to ones goals! And being realistic.
