One time Esther Juma and I sat next to a certain guy on a flight from Bamako, Mali. We started a conversation with the guy and somewhere along the line told him how backward his country was. This was his response; You can say us guys are backward, but at least we dont have terrorists like you do in Kenya. We work and move around freely. Esther and I felt so ashamed. Our pride was deflated and we had nothing else to say. On Wednesday night during the new year kesha, one of our pastors who had spent a few days in Tanzania during the holiday told us how she had asked a member of staff at the hotel she was staying to come visit Kenya sometime. The lady very quickly said that she cant come to Kenya. Not with bombs exploding everywhere. Ladies and gentlemen thats the reputation our country has out there. Its bad! Unfortunately we have this bunch of very unpatriotic Kenyans who are happy with the status quo. They would want Kenya to go to the dogs for them to achieve their selfless ambitions. And they are ready to frustrate every law that can help tame the terrorists!
