One to One have been approached by the production team of One Born Every Minute (OBEM) and asked if we would take part in the next series. They are looking for women who are due between 24th October and 12th December 2014 that live within 30 minutes of Liverpool (so that includes women in Warrington and on the Wirral) who would be willing to: - have an initial phone conversation with the producer, both the woman and her partner (about half hour conversation each to get background info and establish a rapport) - enable the producer to go their house following on from the telephone conversation and do some on camera interviews about history of the couple, about themselves, any other children/pregnancies for their background story. - the couple are then given the producers telephone number to call the minute they go into labour (the same time they inform their midwife) - the crew will arrive and will be very unintrusive, they will have two handheld camera placed in the room and the camera crew will keep out of sight, the lighting will be natural (so no studio lights or suchlike) - all of the actual birth will be blurred so none of the women would be exposed at all - the couple have the right to pull out of filming at any point - they get to see the final version and sit down to watch it with the production team to ensure they are happy with it - the producers are on hand for them to talk to at any point to provide help, advice and reassurance. - they do not sign anything that binds them into it until after the birth - they do need to sign a letter of intent to show they have seriously considered their participation, but this is not a legal document - not all birth stories will be shown, but if a story is not shown the couple will still receive an edited film of their birth, cut to OBEM standard If you are interested in taking part in the show, please email us directly at [email protected].
