One week after receiving the news that I passed the bar, my knowledge of the law was immediately tested. I became a victim of extortion by a certain Gener Galvez who allegedly found my Ipad from a taxi cab. He said he will return it to me but I had to give 10,000 pesos in return. We agreed to meet somewhere in Tatalon last Friday night. It was a good thing that i was able to coordinate with Staff Sgt. Allan Gayo and Major Sed who were kind enough to accompany me to Police Station 11 where the undercover agents eagerly organized an entrapment operation. To make the long story short, we were able to capture the extortionist and i was able to retrieve my Ipad. I would like to thank Ate Elsie Rose and her husband Staff Sgt. Allan Gayo, my brother Don Manlangit, my lawyer Atty. Golda Miñoza, and the police officers in Station 11 for a job well done.
