One week ago today I dropped off my baby in NYC for her college adventure. I returned to Sacramento, met the President of Mexico, worked a few 12 hour plus days, passed half dozen pieces of legislation on subjects ranging from workers comp to vote by mail, fought what felt like the world to get a paid sick days bill signed resulting in a 1:30 am call from the Governor, climbed to the top of the Capitol just to experience the view, returned home to a 6th grader who just wanted to do his math homework and play UNO... Finally, a few minutes alone. Only one thing I want to do now.... Yep, time to clean the house.
