One week ago today (Saturday August 23, 2014) I called the Hays county sheriffs dept because my husband physically hurt me after an argument. The officer made me leave the home even though I was terrified of what my husband would do to my sleeping children. The next day my husband and children disappeared. I called and had officers come to my home Monday to file a missing children report. Tuesday August 26, 2014 I was served with a protective order saying my husband whom is 66 and over twice my weight is afraid of me, and then escorted out of my home with only a handful of clothes. Im not allowed to see or speak to my children. My bank account that is shared with my husband has nearly nothing in it and credit cards turned off. Im not allowed in my own home. Im living in my car. After filing multiple reports at the hays county sheriffs dept I have been told there is nothing they can do and the door slammed in my face. After not working for 4+ years to stay home and take care of my family I certainly can not afford the outrages lawyer fees to fight these allegations in court. I think that Hays county sheriffs dept needs to be asked a simple question by every single parent out there.. What if I call for help? Will you kick me out of my home and take me away from my kids!??? PLEASE share this page with every single person you know. And even call HAYS COUNTY sheriffs and ask that simple question. An abused mother being taken from her children and living in her car because she finally reached out for help....... Is this what our country has become??? HELP me get my babies !!!!! Thank you, Abra
