One week ago today we laid to rest our Mums beloved husband, our dear Dad and precious Pop to 14 grandchildren. Dads funeral service last Friday was a true thanksgiving and celebration of his life. We were humbled by the turn out of over 300 people who came both to support us and pay their respects to Dad. He would have been tickled pink with the beautiful and powerful singing that almost raised the roof and Im sure could be heard in heaven, and by the motor bike escort organised by his friends that lead the hearse after the service. Its been quite a week as we adjust to life without him but made easier by the overwhelming outpouring of love and support from our friends in the form of messages, cards, flowers, baked good and dinners, phone calls and visits. Thankyou and Im sorry if Ive missed returning messages or havent got around to personally thanking you yet.
