One week of Coming Out News for Rainbow Family 808: 1) 10/5/14 Children & Youth Day at the Capitol: 600+ Safety and Health Coloring books to intro us to the community. 8:30am-3:30pm; 2) 10/5/14 Dignity Honolulu Presentation @ Solidarity Sunday 5pm-7pm; 3) 10/6/14 Honolulu Hale Meeting with Mayor; Dir. Community Svs., Dir. Community Development, Dir. Worklinks on Youth Homelessness 1:30-2:30pm; 4) 10/6/14 Quick Delivery to YO and update on progress with HNL Hale 2:30-4pm; 5) 10/6/14 Deliver request to halt Youth Arrests and request HPD escort to one of the 60 beds available in agencies around Oahu. 5pm-6pm; 6) 10/7/14 Helped with Grand Opening of Kapolei Parkway; Wearing Rainbow Family 808 t-shirt to intro contact with community; met with Kapolei HS Band leader to share our mission. 4pm-7pm; 7) 10/8/14 Introduction Letters to Kapolei High School Administration and Counselors with research 1pm-4pm; 8) 10/9/14 Costco Shopping @ and delivery of food to Yo thanks to Friends of Rainbow Family 808 Thank you Friends! 9) 10/9/14 Rainbow Family 808 Support Meeting 7-9pm 8) Visit to Foodbank for possible expansion of donations to YO. We dont meet guidelines, cant use Foodbank to donate to another agency (YO is already a receiving agency). 1 hr on 10/3/14
