One week to Wales and six on since the Outlaw. With less than ten days to ironman wales,a race i only entered just to raise some money for a great cancer charity.That all changed a few hours after finishing outlaw ironman distance event end of july,after a much improved swim on last,run also.I lost a huge amount of time on bike due a puncture and poor repair!I still to beat last time by 33 minutes,but i can go quicker for sure. So to my recovery from outlaw,first six days i only cycled,either on road or turbo,just turning my little legs over.Lots on stretching,foam rollering,i even went out for some drinks in town 5 pints later i was all over the place.Started running again on the sunday a week after race a treadmill session and legs felt ok to be fair! The following week started back up swimming,which is by far the area which needs the work,but even that felt good to be fair.Well as good as it does normally anyway!That was it then back to running five to six times a weeks and cycling four ish times and swimming three to four times and gym and core work fitted in.Since the race i have one complete day off!I am suprised myself how i have recovered this time round!I have put in some big miles on the bike and running,i think five or so plus hour bike ride and a eight hour,done on my own.Also ran a half marathon on a treadmill a marathon in training/320 then two days later 1807 5k. I also sat on a turbo for six hours and raised six hundred pounds and had a great work out. All in all feel am in a much better place than six weeks ago,swimming is just now getting better every time i get in water,still alot to though!!!Am also down to just over 60 kilos now a kilo gone.New tubs fitted and glued on and i have a new pump also! So i am going out on the 14th of september to have the best race i can possibly have............. Now onto the boring bit resting/ect Thanks for taking time to read Darren
