One wonders how any magistrate could not find the police officer - TopicsExpress

One wonders how any magistrate could not find the police officer used excessive, unnecessary force. Mr Rowe, the 60 year old man seen being assaulted on camera, had to appeal the first findings 5 times until finally a private prosecution found the police officer had used excessive force. Arndt, the officer who assaulted Rowe, was still appealing the paltry fine and managerial guidance in 2013. No criminal record. The police union with Ian Leavers at the helm is still financially supporting this officer. In fact it was at this case that Leavers declared they would have legislative change to prevent a private prosecution being successful again. The LNP government has done exactly what Leavers stated he would do. It is now law. But Leavers does not support officers dishonestly investigated in internal investigation. So, all round, Leavers represents and supports officers who use excessive force, officers who lie, officers who steal and rape and murder have more chance of being supported by Leavers than an officer who makes a genuine mistake. The LNP government supports Leavers and Stewart so they must be happy with this thuggery by police officers.
