One would have expected that an Obasanjo who foisted GEJ on - TopicsExpress

One would have expected that an Obasanjo who foisted GEJ on Nigeria when there were better candidates from Niger Delta for the position of vice-president would have learnt to be more circumspect when it comes to king making roles. The same Obasanjo would later strut the whole place shamelessly mouthing his disappointments with the GEJ administration, including making very serious allegations against it. A man who now studies theology and wants the whole world to know that hes focused on knowing and serving his God should have learnt enough about providence within his same God-system, enough to make him less bent on always having a hand on who emerges as Nigerias president and their vice. But no, he wont meet the expectation. This is why politicians should not be trusted to learn their lessons and make corrections. Politicians should not be given a second chance if they messed the first one up. There is no point hoping that a politician learns their lesson. Theres no positive thinking in that. It might make sense religion-wise. Christians, for instance, talk forgiveness and all that but such talks should have no place in politics. It should be fail and fail out. If at all theres going to be another failure, let it be a first timer. Id rather not vote than vote for somebody who has failed before. It just doesnt make political sense. vanguardngr/2014/05/2015jonathan-turns-obasanjos-deal-replace-sambo/
