One would think that a chase bank is a chase bank. And that - TopicsExpress

One would think that a chase bank is a chase bank. And that operational procedures would be consistent from one branch to another branch. This seems to be true until you go to a chase bank in Novi and then maybe later that week you go to a Chase branch in Redford. The hoops that one may or may not have to jump through just to make a deposit are night and day difference. Why would this be the case? If youre just trying to put a check in your own account why would there be any different procedures or requirements to identify yourself? Why would the date at the top of the check written sloppily have any bearing on whether or not you would or would not be able to deposit that check at one branch versus the other branch? This is not an isolated incident. Its one of the reasons I rarely use any of the Chase banks in Redford. Theres always been some added hassle or some extra clearance or a thumbprint or a retinal scan or a waiver signing over my firstborn child. Anyone else? Ive even asked the branches in Novi about the discrepancies... Not sure why they wouldve required that? Hmmm?
