One would think that a people with a history of slavery and indentured labour emigrating from continents where life was rough would gladly join forces to ensure that an island with clean running water, rich in natural resources is preserved as their home and kept developed for their children. Instead like animals lead by instincts only, we reap without sowing, consume without saving and utilize without maintaining. Oh innocent children of beautiful Trinidad & Tobago citizens, we failed you. Instead of utilizing our wealth to upgrade your schools, modernize our health care and prepare for a rainy day, we have squandered our wealth on a few allowing for billionaires with luxury cars and boats while public servants struggle with salaries that barely allows them to attend work on a regular basis. quote from steve avarez
