One year ago I became foster failure. Al had been at the Dumb Friends League when CPR rescued him. Kept as an outside dog, he had skin problems, bad teeth, bad arthritis, was mostly blind and deaf and was finally diagnosed with low thyroid. He was mess! At his first 2 foster homes, his condition stabilized and his health improved but hed had trouble getting along with other dogs. So he came to our home, since we didnt have any fosters at the time. I went thru the motions, taking him to adoption events and even to a meet and greet with a possible adoptive home, all the while knowing he was MY dog. When the visit didnt work out, I immediately sent in the paperwork & adopted Al. He continues to be cranky with the fosters, but we usually only have one at time and can supervise their interactions. Happy gotcha day Al, we love you!
