One year ago this morning, one of Fremonts favorite and best bartenders passed away. I have SO MANY great memories of Spook and the Hillside Club. I was the last musician to be on that stage, when the bar was sold - then run into the ground by the new, inept owners less than a year later. Now, the building sits...empty...just a shell of what was the scene of so many great times, and great friends, where it wasnt just a bunch of customers, but more so like a family. There never has, and will never be a place like the Hillside Club again. Spook was a huge reason for all the people that ventured into the bar through all those years. I miss you ole buddy!!! Perhaps Ill drink one in your memory today!
