One year ago today, I was laying in a bed at Piedmont Henry surrounded by many of my crazy friends and family. So many of them that they almost got kicked out several times while waiting for me to come out of surgery. On this day, the surgeon removed my long boobs and some bad tissue. I was overwhelmed by the people that showed up and the support that was given. I am so thankful for me having the option of having that surgery. But more importantly, I am thankful and humbled knowing that I have some of the best friends and family in the world. The road was not always easy, but I know that God was in control every step of the way. I want to say thank you Lord for opening my eyes. Thank you to everyone that came to visit, everyone that brought meals, everyone that called or sent cards. One thing that I have learned this past year: we have so much more going for us than against us. We should be focusing on all the good stuff that we have been blessed with, and not complaining about what we dont have or what someone didnt do for us....we should be focusing on the things that bring us together and make us stronger. Not the things that divide us and make us weaker. We need to laugh more. I love you guys..
