One year ago today, I was starring helplessly at a whole lot of boxes in a strange apartment, in a new town, in a state Id only visited a handful of times. Audrey, Brandon, and Franzi had said goodbye and headed back down to Boston, and I was consumed by the gnawing sensation that Id just made a gargantuan mistake. But today, I wrapped up my first community theater production since the move - saying goodbye for now to new friends, and old friends who came to see it... I look at my little Kittery neighborhood, growing and expanding, and my community network in South Berwick becoming strong...I look at the work Ive done for Historic New England over the past year, and the many upcoming projects and goals that get me going in the morning...I think of all these things and feel proud, grateful, and even a little bit brave. Life is what you make it, I guess. But you knew that already, didnt you?
