One year ago today, Queen Vivian Smith Barnes and I hosted the first Peace Collaborative meeting. I would like to wish all who were involved and those who have supported our efforts to collectively promote peace a VERY happy anniversary. The letter inviting new members said We have chosen this date because it falls on the day before the anniversary of “The Day The World Stood Still”. Can you imagine what life would have been like if we had a peace planning meeting the day before 9-11-01? We hosted a press conference, 100 Slices, The Upscale Bake Sale, the Mardi Gras Mask-erade Ball and the Got Peace? Basketball Tournament in 8 short months. TEAM: Together Everyone Achieves More... Join us on October 18th for the 2nd Annual 100 Slices. I dont want to forget to add everyone so Ill just list the original members. If you were involved, please add yourself to this post.
