One year ago, today my life changed In a blink of an eye. Nine broken vertebrae, four broken ribs, two compressed vertebrae, and a severely dislocated knee. Eight surgeries and one more to go, if all goes well. I havent walked for a year, and still am facing the possibility of amputation. But thru all of this comes the silver lining (should be gold) the lessons I have learned about life, love, faith, and me still out wieghs the physical pain i have endured. I would never want anything to change about this trial. It has brought me closer to my kids, husband, my God and myself. My kids have had to deal with me not driving and being at everything for them. But I have learned that hearing about the baseball game or friends activity from the kids is more enjoyable for me because I see the excitement in their eyes. They get to relive the great moments again for their mom. My amazing husband, what I have put him thru. I am very grateful that he still loves me. He has been my rock and has been there to celebrate the little victories that are huge to me, like being able to wear two shoes. Thank you to everyone that has been helping me and my family out. The dinners were delicious and helped so much, the prayers and faith from everyone have been felt and graciously appriciated. To a new year! my goal is to walk, enjoy watching my daughter do her activities, watching my son play baseball, attend my sons graduation by walking into the building, to not be a burden on my husband and friends, and finally, it would be awesome to meet Vin Diesel ( JK not really) but I am gong to go to the new Fast and Furious ride at Universal Studios in 2015. Thanks again to everyone! Be brave and accept your destiny!
