One year ago today, the world lost an amazing friend, husband and father. It was a regular tradition to stop in for a drink and chat for a few as we dropped off our sons to sleep at each others houses almost every weekend. That weekend I missed my weekly drink with Doug Macnab because the week immediately preceding I had the flu, Lance was deployed and a pipe had burst in our house, flooding our downstairs. I missed two phone calls that night, and will never forget when our friend Scott called the next morning to give me the news I had ignored the night before in my mental fog. That morning and many times since I have regretted that I never got to spend that last Saturday night with our friend because I was feeling bad for myself. In that year I have seen my friend Jacqueline Gorrasi Macnab and her kids possess strength beyond words. It is our privilege to consider these friends as close as our family. Please keep them in your prayers and dont let the business of life have you miss out on what means the most, family and friends. This song has always reminded me of that night and Doug.
