One year has passed since the tragedy in Bangladesh, where hundreds of people were killed and many more were mutilated or seriously injured. What happened in Bangladesh was not a catastrophe, but the result of capitalist greed, that seeks to level down to earn more and more, regardless of the environmental and human costs. #Walmart is one of the leading production companies in Bangladesh. #Walmart refused to sign an Agreement on Work Safety taken up by hundreds of companies; an agreement formalised by UNI Global Union and Industriall and endorsed by the ILO. Walmart also refuses to pay appropriate compensation to the workers and their families. One year after the tragedy, Walmart still does not accept responsibility for the cost of greed. The workers continue waiting for a fair compensation. Walmart, with blood on its hands, refuses to pay.
