One year tomorrow that Freckles found his first foster home in Boston.. One year ago that his amazing journey in life started like a dream.. On Sept 13th of last year, I sent him to NYC with my blessing and taking just my love with him and nothing else. For so long I fed him on the streets, medicated him daily for his arthritis and Ehrlichiosis.. I would witnessed the cruelty done to him by the neighborhood people that hated him and how they treated him like if he was a disease that needed to go away from them. In rainy days the corner of the store where he slept, it would flood and he would not even try to move.. like that he slept, all day, all night.. I would come and read him stories of what his life one day it would be, filled with love, arms cuddling him and not hurting him.. a bowl of clean food and clean water everyday, a nice loving home where he would be treated with respect not with disgust. As time went by, my heart started to lose all hopes that the stories I told him was all white lies just to give him hope in to keep on living another day in misery.. Then one day, I came for him, and told him, This is it, my friend..today your life is changing for the better put him in my car and drove with him.. One year tomorrow that my precious boy found the home he dreamed of and the family he always wanted to love and be loved.. cause Freckles was supposed to be just a foster dog but he never left.. he became family forever.. I see this picture and my heart smiles with joy.. This is exactly the dream and the life I have promised him when he was homeless living on the streets of Nassau, Bahamas. True love he found. A dog nobody wanted here in Nassau and is now adored by his family. Somebodys trash is another ones treasure. Freckles, sweet, old boy.. You will always have a piece of my heart forever. Be happy.
