Online politics have just gotten real dirty now, people are now afraid to comment and express their opinions on issues of national importance. Internet journalism has started impeding on our rights to express ourselves freely, sometime back people used to comment and engage freely in online discourse but this trend has evaporated with the rise of gossip pages, that claim to be media pages. Therefore for people to get and protect their God given privacy they have resorted to minding their own business for fear of being labelled cadres or being the centre of ridicule in online political battles. Societal unity is slowly being disintegrated by the rise of online media as because of this anyone with an agenda can assume the mantle of anonymity and publish unprintables in the name of exposing personal misdeeds. Anyway thats just the way I see it, one day will people will be even afraid of updating their status or even having a genuine internet profile. Anyway none of my business, but this is our Zambia at the end of the day...
