Its a shame this guy died, but he died because he shot at someone he hadnt identified and that someone was a better shot than he was. 2. Once again, police officers have a really, really crappy job. And they do it for like $20 an hour. Imagine the real job description: The people you regularly contact will hate you. Youll likely get shot at multiple times in your career. You may have to kill someone. The chance of PTSD is very strong. Your pay will be the first to be cut whenever a politician wants to raise taxes but cant. Seriously, go thank a cop for their service. 3. The officer might have been better to identify himself, but he had no time. What in the actual heck is that guy doing shooting at an unknown person in a public space? ALWAYS identify your target. 4. Had Joe Homeowner taken a flashlight out with him, this all would likely have been avoided. (this is my favorite on Amazon: goo.gl/iSc343) You absolutely need a flashlight next to your home defense gun, and for this reason. Attitude. Skills. Plan.
