Many peoples favourite for this one is Andy Wild, a man with more experience than either Hendry or Solar and a man who has wrestled some of the biggest names in professional wrestling such as former WWE star and son of the British Bulldog, Davey Boy Smith Jr and former TNA World Heavyweight Champion Magnus! Joe Hendry though is a very capable opponent and one who can change the outcome of a match with only a seconds notice, the powerful and technically apt young man has the world in his hands at the moment having recently appeared on WWE RAW in a segment with Jack Swagger and Adam Rose. Solar has had mixed success in Showcase Wrestling so far, with a loss to El Technico a year ago on his debut while picking up a win in a Battle Royal later that night and then putting up a spirited but losing fight against the monster that is Damo back in May. He cannot be discounted in this match though, his high flying luchadore style keeps the fans begging for more of this masked superstar! - The Caledonian Cup It is that time of year again and 4 more competitors have stepped forward to give it all for the Caledonian Cup! The cup has been retained now on 3 separate occasions by now British Heavyweight Champion James Scott but this year he has decided not to apply for his place in the tournament due to the issue with Dead To Rites that will hopefully be resolved on this event! As as result 4 fresh competitors line up as follows: 1. David Campbell Thomson vs Viper (Caledonian Cup Semi) 2. Danny Boy vs Rory Steel (Caledonian Cup Semi) All 4 of these competitors are capable of wrestling with the best in the business on their day but the real shocker of this tournament is the fact that Showcase Wrestling will host its first ever intergender match between David Campbell Thomson and Womens British Champion Viper! After successfully defending her title against Sara back in May the Womens Champion will be facing a rare match against a male competitor in the face of newcomer DCT. This match throws up so many questions. Just how good is Viper, can she translate her strength in the Womens division to success with a male opponent and if so just how dangerous will she be? DCT is making his debut in Showcase Wrestling and really is an unknown entity to many of us here at Showcase.
