Today’s word of encouragement: “If then you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth.” Colossians 3:1-2 Paul is referring back to chapter two verse twelve when he speaks of being raised up in Christ. He then goes on to paint the picture of the transformation of the mind. “Let no one keep defrauding you of your prize by delighting in self-abasement and the worship of the angels, taking his stand on visions he has seen, inflated without cause by his fleshly mind,” Colossians 2:18 “These are matters which have, to be sure, the appearance of wisdom in self-made religion and self-abasement and severe treatment of the body, but are of no value against fleshly indulgence.” Colossians 2:23 Both of these references are directed toward the thoughts of the mind and beliefs. The Apostle refocuses us to look or meditate on those things associated with our position of “being in Christ” seated at the right hand of God. From this vantage point we can respond to our earthly challenges from God’s perspective and out of His strategy. As we see from God’s perspective we can observe the “Big picture” of God. Today set your mind on the events before you from the position of Heaven. We are seated in Christ in the heavenly places, and He is seated at the right hand of God. From here you can engage the mind of Christ and initiate the strategies of Christ Jesus who leads us in all victories. “but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 15:57 Since we have now been given a new birth through Christ we can access the truth of victory in Him. “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.” 1 John 5:4 Now faith is…..
