Only Kashmiris can guarantee South Asian peace: Attique Date: 24 Sep 2013 Only Kashmiris can guarantee South Asian peace: Attique RAWALPINDI – Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan, former Premier of AJK/President Muslim Conference says Kashmiris can guarantee peace and security in South Asia. They can prove themselves as peace bridge among South Asian countries. Sardar Sahib was talking to former Advisor on Media to Prime Minister Mr Hameed Shaheen in his residence Tuesday afternoon. Elaborating, the ex-Premier says “Jammu and Kashmir is not a two-state dispute. It is a dispute that concerns the political fate of 18 million Kashmiris. They are directly involved in this life-and-death dispute. It is they who are fighting this as a sacred cause. No country should take Kashmiris movement as against it. Jammu and Kashmir dispute is central residual issue of June 3rd, 1947 British Indian partition plan on its basis of ideology. Hindus got their portion on their Hindus ideology; Pakistan came into being on its own distinct ideology that is also a way of life for every Muslims”. Even if the whole world forgets Kashmir as dispute, we the people of Kashmir would continue and there won’t be any let-up at all. How can we yield to the illegal militaristic occupation of Hindustan. Why Hindustan is there in Kashmir indulging in every worst type of human rights violations, he queried. He explained that India in August 1947 had divided into two independent states – Pakistan and Hindustan. India exists nowhere. It is Hindustan by way of partition principle of south Asian subcontinent. Sardar Attique said that within next week or so he would hold a press conference and explain these raison d’etre. It is necessary that nomenclature of states should be named correctly. No Kashmiri, he asserted, is with Hindustan. How can they be with Hindustan when it has captured a great part of their state by military force. On the occasion he recalled an old reassurance of President Mohammad Ayub Khan when he was Commander-in-Chief of Pakistan Armed Forces: addressing a mammoth public meeting in Muzaffarabad General Ayyub Khan had said that a time may come that people and political parties may forget about Kashmir, but I as Commander-in-Chief of Pakistan Armed Services assure you, assure you that the brave Armed Forces of Pakistan would never forget Kashmir or Kashmiris. This assurance of the Commander-in-Chief of Pakistan has run a new blood into the resisting veins of each and every Kashmiri. Since then they believe that Kashmiris in their fight are not alone. They have a backing of every righteous force.
