Only Those Who Continue To Observe The Sabbath After The Resurrection Accept Jesus As The Source Of Their Sanctification Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the LORD that sanctify them. (Eze. 20:12) The Dawn of Great Sabbath - https://youtube/watch?v=tELSGhP_1nM It is so interesting how people would allow themselves to believe the cunning lies of Satan. Nowhere in the New Testament can we find a scripture to support the changing of the day of worship from Sabbath to Sunday. Upon close examination of the life of the Apostle Paul after the resurrection of Christ, we see Him continuing the practice of remembering the Sabbath day to keep it Holy. In the book of Acts we have several texts which points to the disciples entering the synagogue on the Sabbath day to worship. So it’s very clear that the seventh-day Sabbath worship continued after the resurrection. So the real question we should be asking ourselves is why would someone want to change the day of worship from Sabbath to Sunday? My friend, the Lord created the Sabbath as a time for us to worship the Him and to be reminded that He is our God. The Sabbath reminds us that it is God who sanctifies or makes us Holy. Every single time that we come to the seventh day of the week, God wants us to spend some time to reflect on Him and on His goodness. It is God who will provide all our needs according to His riches in Glory. Satan, realizing that the observance of the seventh-day Sabbath is the SEAL of God and point mankind to depend on God has created a counterfeit. This morning God is reminding us to obey His commandment so that we may have right to the tree of life and to enter through the gates into Heaven. The counterfeit that Satan has developed will entice many to follow after the Beast. As a result of their disobedience many will choose to accept the Mark of the Beast and give up the SEAL of God. Notice very carefully that the debate in Christianity regarding the day of worship is never between Sabbath/Saturday and Tuesday… The debate is always between Sabbath/Saturday and Sunday. I pray that we will continue to allow the Holy Spirit to guide us to that Satan will not fool us to believe that there was no Sabbath worship after the resurrection. After the proclamation of the three angels’ messages, look at what the word of God said about the Saints. “Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.” The saints who enter heaven would have keep the commandments of God and observed the Sabbath. The observance of the Sabbath started during the first week of creation and it has never stopped since then Pray ye that your flight be not in the winter; neither on the Sabbath day, Christ said. He who made the Sabbath did not abolish it, nailing it to His cross. The Sabbath was not rendered null and void by His death. Forty years after His crucifixion it was still to be held sacred. For forty years the disciples were to pray that their flight might not be on the Sabbath day. (Desire of the Ages, 630 – Ellen G. White) The Sabbath, which God had instituted in Eden, was as precious to John on the lonely isle as when he was with his companions in the cities and towns. The precious promises that Christ had given regarding this day he repeated and claimed as his own. It was the sign to him that God was his. . . . On the Sabbath day the risen Saviour made His presence known to John. [Revelation 1:10-13, 17, 18 quoted.] (SDA Bible Commentary, pg. 955 – Ellen G. White) In the first centuries the true Sabbath had been kept by all Christians. They were jealous for the honor of God, and, believing that His law is immutable, they zealously guarded the sacredness of its precepts. (Story of Redemption, pg. 328 – Ellen G. White) When there shall be a restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began (Acts 3:21), the creation Sabbath, the day on which Jesus lay at rest in Josephs tomb, will still be a day of rest and rejoicing. Heaven and earth will unite in praise, as from one Sabbath to another (Isaiah 66:23) the nations of the saved shall bow in joyful worship to God and the Lamb. (The Desire of Ages, pg. 769, 770 – Ellen G. White) The children of Israel were to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations for a perpetual covenant. The Sabbath has lost none of its meaning. It is still the sign between God and his people, and it will be so forever. (Review and Herald, August 4, 1904 – Ellen G. White) The Sabbath was given to all mankind to commemorate the work of creation. The great Jehovah, when he had laid the foundations of the earth, when he had dressed the whole world in its garb of beauty, and created all the wonders of the land and the sea, instituted the Sabbath day and made it holy. When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy, the Sabbath was set apart as Gods memorial. God sanctified and blessed the day in which he had rested from all his wondrous work. And this Sabbath, sanctified of God, was to be kept for a perpetual covenant. It was a memorial that was to stand from age to age, till the close of earths history. (Review and Herald, August 30 1898 – Ellen G. White)
