If you love animals and people and want to help make their days brighter, this job may be for you! Camp Bow Wow® is opening soon in Henderson, NV! We are looking for the perfect Camp Manager. The Camp Manager will exude a great energy that is felt by the dogs, the staff, and the customers. This is an excellent opportunity to learn all aspects of the business alongside an interactive owner. Operations, human resources, marketing/customer service, accounting, administration, you name it, you are somehow involved. That is, the manager doesnt mind getting a little dirty cleaning out pup cabins and a few minutes later in a meeting brainstorming about the next customer appreciation event. The Camp Manager loves helping others find solutions to problems, whether it be ways to handle dog behavior issues, easing a worried owner when his little day camper become night camper due to an unexpected long day at work, dealing with a employee work/school schedule conflict, or the owners technical difficulties, the Camp Manager handles it all with a positive attitude. The Camp Manager is the key member that ensures Camp Bow Wow is a fun and safe place for both the dogs and the Camp Counselors (Staff). Responsibilities: • Develop an exceptional customer service focused culture • Be an Interactive Manager- Mentor Camp Counselors, train and develop Camp Counselors-including completing performance appraisals, hold regular meetings with Camp Counselors, schedule and maintain attendance and tardiness records of Staff, and interview and create a team • Manage Operations- Enforce and adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, Interview all dogs for socially acceptable behavior, Handle physical demands such as cleaning, bending, standing for long periods, stooping, lifting up to 40lbs, monitor all Day Campers and Night Campers and ensure a clean and safe environment, and insure all feedings and medications for Campers with daily checklists. • Attend weekly meeting with owner. • Maintain retail inventory and supplies. • Assist in budget process and monitoring of expense/revenue goals. • Assist with overseeing of maintenance projects within Camp Bow Wow property. Qualifications: • Experience managing atleast 10 employees, preferably in the hospitality and/or service industry. • Willing to work a flexible schedule including holidays, evenings and weekends. • Comfortable with a variety of customers in positive and difficult situations both on the phone and in person. • Love for dogs and other pets, regardless of breed or species, and able to communicate that love to others. • Communicates and presents in a professional manner. • Quickly obtain a full understand of Camp Bow Wow services and products. • Ability to represent the business in alignment with the brand standards, the mission and the vision of the company. • High degree of independent decision-making and problem-solving capability. • Strong attention to detail. • Exceptional organizational, time management, and follow-up skills. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint & Word) and Internet savvy. • Bachelors degree preferred.
