Only if parents could take a walk in a teachers shoes. They would be able to see that we dont just show up at school to babysit and send children home with tons of work. We try our best to prepare these children, our children, for the world....real life. The world that is constantly changing, the world thats all about competition. We motivate the children, our children, to be the best that they can be. To put 100% in everything they do and to take pride in doing so. I love my job!!! Knowing that I am preparing doctors, lawyers, restaurant managers, car dealers and many others to help run this world This week has completely drained me, mentally. I give my all daily and sometimes it seems like your all isnt good enough. With that being said.... Parents, we (educators) need you. We need your 100%!! 99.5 wont do. Please tell your children that we need their 100%. If we all work together as a team, thing would be much easier. Have you ever seen a football player win a game alone? I havent either....it takes a team. I am pleading with you.....make your child study...better yet, study with them. Let them know you are with them. Before you know it, it will time for them to leave the nest and go out to live as PRODUCTIVE citizens of the USA. PRODUCTIVE!!! As for me.....I am going to suck it up and do this all over beginning tomorrow when I work on lesson plans....because thats what we do and thats how much we care.
