Only the Dead have Seen the End of War Veterans Day is Monday, - TopicsExpress

Only the Dead have Seen the End of War Veterans Day is Monday, some restaurants feed us for free. While we do appreciate it. It’s the ones they don’t feed that mean the most to us. It’s Memorial Day for us. Videos I post here are videos from my time in. They are about a war that no one supported, except the soldiers, sailors, Marines and Air Man that served there. Back then, there was no heroes welcome home. Instead service men and women, some volunteers, some draftees, were called baby killers, war protesters threw urine and feces on them at the airport to welcome them home . They told me they couldn’t wait to get out of uniform. While they were in the Nam, I was in Germany, serving with some who had already been there. One Spec 5, Infantry Medic, I remember. He would wake us all up from time to time, screaming. Reliving his own personal war experience. Other combat vets had that thousand yard stare. The Combat Infantry Badge, the medals on their chest, told me why. My body wasn’t there with them in Nam, but, my heart, my soul was. I am proud to have at least served with them. I pay tribute now, anyway I can. I will be posting this message, playing stuff like this all weekend, for all Vietnam Veterans. Especially for those who are unable to see, or, hear it. Those still living in VA hospitals, those fortunate sons and daughters who live at home. My tribute for the living, and the dead. So Get use to it.
