....Only three days offline - Without Television, Radio, Newspapers, Laptop or Mobile Phone and i felt shut out from the world....Can imagine how people in very remote areas survive without access to information. I came back to the sad news of a Bomb blast in Jonah Jangs city, Jos. Ive been reading contradicting figures of dead & injured victims. While NEMA reported 118, some reported 200 , while Police still reported only 45. Anyways, the number doesnt really matter. Even if it was only one casualty, we should be VERY worried. Our Country is in a state of War and it would be stupidity for the Southerners to say, since its not occuring directly in the South, we shouldnt be worried....Nah! The skyrocketing price of foodstuffs in the market (especially the Yams, Tomatoes, Beef, etc) is a testimony that we are part of the War. If we sit back, relax and do nothing, its only a matter of time before the bombs start rolling in as well. Lagos has been threatened many atimes. Imo has been too. Rivers has been too. How i wish i knew much about this insecurity issues. I would have proferred solutions because from all indications, there are a whole lot of stuff the government is not telling us. What we read in the news is a farcry from the actual story (Dont ask me how i knew). So to our POTFRON Jonathan, we are only asking you to do the needful. Redeem your fast draining name. If its too much for you to handle, split the country and go back to Otuoke peacefully.
