Only three more days of Early Voting remain! I believe, we should not take this Primary lightly. Our Vote cannot be, business as usual, or a popularity contest. We have got to systematically elect men and women who are not afraid to stand up for our great County, State and Country. We must elect men and women of extreme courage who are willing to stand alone, if need be, (as Ted Cruz is), for the principles this Country was founded on and for. We can no longer afford to elect people who are unwilling to fight for The United States Constitution. The Galveston County Republican Women made up and passed out cards at the Galveston County Lincoln Day 2014 Dinner. They stated: Republicans Stand For: Faith - Family - Freedom. We believe in: The United States Constitution/Judeo-Christian principles True balance of power between government branches Pro Life and Family Values The right to keep and bear arms Limited government Reduced spending and a balanced budget Increased domestic oil production Less government regulation of businesses The repeal of Obamacare I wholeheartedly and fervently agree. We have unfortunately, several Democrats running on the Republican Primary Ballot. Yes. Many of them figured they couldnt win as a Democrat, so signed up for our Ballot. Believe me, Democrats know this and will be voting in our Primary! We as Republicans need to be very careful who we vote for. Because of this, I am submitting to you my list of the Candidates I know and/or respect. I am also providing the links to their websites/Facebook pages, so you can investigate their positions for yourself. Please do your research. Check voting records and check who the Candidates have supported in the past. Be very careful who you Vote for. Whoever wins in the Primary will be the Republican Candidate we must vote for on November 4, 2014. This is a very serious time in our County, State, and Countrys history. So, I repeat: Please be very careful who you vote for. The Candidates I admire and respect are: United States Senator: Steve Stockman or Dwayne Stovall Both of these men are true conservatives. Stockman though, knows how government works in DC, how dirty and phony it can be. I believe in electing people who arent afraid to be disliked. People who will stand up for whats right -- no matter what. stockmanforsenate2014/ texansforstovall/ Without reservation I support and am very glad there is no candidate running against Randy Weber and Dr. Greg Bonnen. As a conservative Republican, I couldnt be happier with these two fine men. Governor: Greg Abbott This is a man we can count on to represent our conservative values. Hes going to make a great Texas Governor. gregabbott/issues/ Lieutenant Governor: Jerry Patterson Endorsed by Ron Paul Debate between Lieutenant Governor Candidates: tpr.org/post/recap-immigration-marijuana-lieutenant-governor-candidates-sound Attorney General: Barry Smitherman barryfortexas/ Comptroller of Public Accounts: Glenn Hegar hegar.senate.state.tx.us/ Commissioner of the General Land Office: George P. Bush georgepfortexas.org/ Commission of Agriculture: Sid Miller millerfortexas/ Railroad Commissioner: Ryan Sitton ryansitton/about Chief Justice, Supreme Court: Robert Talton taltonforchiefjustice/ Justice, Supreme Court, Place 6, Unexpired Term: Jeff Brown justicejeffbrown/ Member, State Board of Education, District 7: David Bradley khou/news/politics/David-Bradley-149289655.html https://facebook/pages/Bradley-for-Texas/351695751638285 This man is a principled conservative and has fought for years against revisionist history in our public school textbooks. District Judge, 212th Judicial District: Patricia Grady patgradyforjudge/ Democrats are running in this race. Grady is the qualified, conservative running. Family District Judge, 306th Judicial District: Wilfried Schmitz schmitzforjudge/community_involvment This race has Democrats running, too. Schmitz has the rare distinction of being Board Certified in Family Law, along with being a true Patriot. District Attorney: Jack Roady jackroady/ DA Roady has done a wonderful job representing the citizens of Galveston County. He is a man of unwavering principle. County Judge: Mark Henry judgehenry/ The true Conservative running, who has kept his word to the Voters -- a rarity in politics today. Judge, County Court at Law No. 2: Barbara Roberts judgebroberts/ This exceptional Judges opponent is a Democrat. Judge, County Court at Law No. 3: Kerri Foley keepjudgekerrifoley/ She has done a wonderful job cleaning up and organizing this Courtroom. A true, life-long Republican. County Chairman: Barbara Meeks galvestoncountygop.org/ Friendswood residents received a robocall from a well known Democrat in town, advising Republicans who to vote for in their Primary, for their Republican Party Chair! I would be very leery of taking any Democrats advice as to who I should vote for. Barbara Meeks has been a great Republican Party Chair for Galveston County! Our Party has gained tremendous strength yearly, under her principled leadership. She is a life-long, fiscally conservative Republican. Judge John Grady, Judge Kim Sullivan, District Clerk Kinard, County Clerk Dwight Sullivan, County Treasurer Walsh, and County Commissioner Clark for Precinct No. 4, have no opponents and this is a very good thing. For Harris County, I have one specific recommendation and that is: State Representative, District 129: Dennis Paul dennispaul/endorsements.html I have known Mr. Paul for years and know him to be a highly involved Patriot, who has supported Republican principles for many years as a GOP SD 11 SREC representative. If you can, please join the Friendswood Republican Womens Group for lunch this Thursday, Feb 27, from 11:15--12:30, at Perrys Restaurant in Friendswood to hear and meet several of the candidates running. FriendswoodRW.org Galveston County can vote anywhere in the county during Early Voting and also on Election Day, March 4, 2014. I will be the Election Judge at the old Friendswood Junior High School building, in the cafeteria area, on Tuesday, March 4. Harris County Friendswood voters need to vote at the library off Diana in Clear Lake. And please remember to have your Photo ID with you. Lets elect fearless Republican Leaders! Please get to the POLLS and VOTE!
