Ontario County Sheriff Povero has confirmed that Tony Stewart struck driver at Canandaigua Speedway. The drivers name is being withheld to contact family members, as the driver was pronounced dead at 11:15 pm. An autopsy will be conducted and the investigation will continue. Reports of this tragedy indicate that 20-year-old Kevin Ward Jr. was struck by Stewarts car on the dirt track. No charges have been filed, Tony Stewart is cooperating with authorities and the Ontario County DA has been notified. More on this as it develops.
