Ooh! Finally got to see THe Full English in Derby last night. It did not disappoint. Seven extremely talented singers and musicians. Interesting thought provoking material. Great graphics. The four principal singers - Martin Simpson, Fay Hield, Seth Lakeman, and Nancy Kerr all have such distinctive and contrasting voices, which work so well together. Have bought the album too (graphics by the extremely talented Elly Lucas. At the moment my hit of the show is Seth doing Portrait of A Wife but also love Fay doing LInden Lea ( what a voice). The point of the show is to provoke you to use the resources, which I will be doing forwith. It was also fun stealing a march on our Sheffield folkie friends by seeing it before them!!!!!
