Ooh.. Sand storm. On the desert map. Sturm n Drang v.s. Lord Tyrant Hexeris. Thornfall vs the Empire. The sand was intense. Hexeris and a small but dangerous praetorian karax unit cought in the storm had taken refuge against the ruined wall. They could hear odd screeching almost arguing in some animal language. The karax formed a phalanx an marched into the sand storm. It appeared a force of scavengers had found there scent and looked to take advantage of the sand storm cutting Hexeris off from the rest of the skorne forces. In an impressive display of organization Hexeris set up his defensive lines using the storm to his advantage. Bassalisks using the paralytic energy to ward off ranged threats along with the blast proof shield wall and the sand storm. The bassalisks used eyeless sight n paralyzed the two gun boars. The drake n the extoler hit an did a little bit. The thornfall caster was some kind of two headed monster arguing with itself. It used some psychic barrior to protect its battle group from ranged but eyeless sight ignores the sand storm. What happened next was absurd. With both gun boars paralyzed n wounded and an impressive military formation bearing down in phalanx the panicked war hog cracked under the pressure. Maybe it was the sand or the crazy cybernetic trauma, maybe it was the sound of the thing supposed to lead it arguing with itself that finally drove it nuts. The giant war hogs aggression dial went off and it went straight after its own caster killing it......the contest was over and the storm stopped as the psychic two headed pig died. The war hog walking off casually ignoring the skorne force who just shrugged. We decided not to count this one as anything but practice. I jus wanted to share the story.
