Oooh, just got a Christmas meme in my inbox. Well, its half past 4am and Im wide awake, having just made breakfast, so...why not? Claudias Christmas Meme Survey! 1. Are you celebrating Christmas this year? Not in the traditional sense, but yeah, kind of. 2. Did you put up a tree? yup...put two up...took both down..then put up one. 3. What color lights do you have on your tree? Clear, plus blue & white LED snowflake lights. The other, smaller tree is one of those built-in multi-colored fiber optic trees, so I dont have to bother with lights if I dont want to...which I dont. 4. Real or fake tree? Both my trees are fake table top trees 5. Stockings hung? Nope. Dont have a stocking anymore. And besides, whos going to fill it? The cat? 6. Christmas dinner? Appetizers? Desserts? Thanks to a friend, instead of buying a frozen pizza as Id originally planned, Im having maple-glazed baked ham, Brussels sprouts, butternut squash, applesauce & scalloped potatoes. I had my appetizers for Christmas eve brunch: Saltine crackers topped with salami rounds and Monterey jack cheese, and sparkling grape juice to wash it all down with. Dessert...not sure. Either one of my cherry-berry milkshakes, or fudge brownies. 7. What presents did you get from other people this year? 2 pairs of Boot socks A throw blanket for the living room sofa cash mini Roy Rogers alarm clock 2 homemade apple themed placemats a kitchen clock that looks like an apple Christmas cookies slippers _________ And via a gift card: (12th) Doctor Who novel Doctor Who mug cassette / radio walkman Horse clock for my bedroom 8. What, if any, presents did you get for yourself this year? Purchased where? My cat Scruggs (free) from a Buffalo cat rescue Pair of Art Deco ceramic horse bookends from flea market dealer an old novel from the used book shop glass bottle of Mexican Coca-Cola from Wegmans Pajamas from Walmart Winter gloves from the dollar store bath towel / washcloth from Dollar General 3 antique salt cellars (free) from church sale 9. Who are you spending Christmas with? Just my cat. 10. Christmas TV viewing? I dont get TV service, but Ive lined up some DVDs and Youtube stuff. Some 70s Christmas TV specials, and old western films on Youtube, plus Doctor Who and a few other series on DVD. 11. Christmas day weather forecast where you live? High winds, rain and snow showers. 12. Do you believe in Santa? Heck yeah. You mean he might not be real? Say it aint so!
