Oooh, on a happy note; two in fact: the managers of my apartment complex held a pancake breakfast for all residents this morning (starting at 10am) - and I WENT. I actually made it out the front door - by myself - at TEN AM - which meant I had to get up at 8am - went downstairs and joined in. I arrived at 9:55 - to find ALL the tables full and most everyone already into their second helping of pancakes!! Who knew that 10am really means 9? Not me. Anyway, I ended up sitting absolutely alone at the last table, but thoroughly enjoyed my pancakes. I brought some ice cold milk (I figured theyd be serving orange juice, which for me, has never worked with syrup, you know?), and some boysenberry syrup, which I added to the maple syrup theyd provided, for my favorite tasting morning treat. I still cant believe I did it. Er...for those who know me, they know what an accomplishment this was. :) And the second note? Oh happy days, the wonderful Susan (Virginia Sky in TS), sent me a Halloween pressie that included two handmade coasters; one a ghost, the other a large, fun Halloween spider (which has Abby thoroughly entranced) and finally, a Witchs black shoe (think Wicked Witch of the West) full of Halloween sandwich cookies (in pumpkin-spiced flavors!!!)!!!! It was so joyful to receive, and took me back to my working days and all the wonderful, thoughtfully made gifts my employees would bring me for Halloween during our Annual Harvest Festival!!! *KISSES TO SUSAN* Friends are the greatest gift we can have, eh? Im super blessed.
