Oooooooh this is a long one... dont say I didnt warn you. I was part of a conversation yesterday that kinda stuck with me all evening... and I want to talk about it. Well speak on it I suppose is a better description... At this point of my life, I guess I dont really talk to many people anymore, so this is my outlet and as always I hope noone minds the ramblings, but Im a talker and with noone to talk to this just works for me... Anyways thats all beside the point of this post... Since December I find that I dont sleep well at all during the week I have a hard time getting to sleep and staying asleep. I take over the counter sleep aids to get in 3 to 4 hours a night but on the weekends I dont take them at all and I find that I sleep 1 to 1.5 hours and Im up and out and about. I make this comment because I do think its anxiety that keeps me awake any longer, it was for a while but I feel im about 60% back to being my old normal jackass of a self, working, working out, having fun with my friends, playing video games, cooking strange and adventurous things, hanging with my mom and family. And of course movies movies movies... I think its just a lot of energy as a result of the workouts. I want to point this out because the number one excuse to not exercise for me used to be I am simply too tired after work. What I found is that energy only returned AFTER I started this adventure in blubberous destruction. This means working out is no different than investing. You think you cant do it because of... And you will never reap the rewards until you do the actions... its personal discipline. Knowing what to do is important but means absolutely nothing if you dont make yourself do what you need to. This is an important discovery for me... To realize, correlate and associate the two as a similar practices is very interesting to me. People say I cant invest because I dont have any money. Just like they say I cant workout because I dont have the energy. I say when it comes to investing, start slowly and build up to more complex practices and take risks... start to put something small in your holdings, and start with a BOND fund so you can build a stable and more importantly VISIBLE return dollars operation. People thrive on results. Most people are too busy focusing on the immediate results in happiness to pay attention to take actions that lead to long term results for happiness... I also say do not risk what you cant afford to lose and your time is the asset you have with the most value... So why not use both wisely... just like you dont throw dollars at stocks and other things that you dont understand. Why throw time and actions with no long term results? I suggest if you start investing start with Bonds are typically slower safer, slower yield CONSISTENT returning investments. The difference between them and other holdings is that you will see returns each month instead of annually, bi-annually or quarterly. This is NO different from working out... start SOMEWHERE, start small be CONSISTENT and be mindful that sure you will likely see short term consistent gains but for the big returns it takes time to get results... like investing DO NOT SEEK IMMEDIATE strong gains or returns, take the time to build the foundation for success via consistent successful operations. Same with workouts. Im still a huge fat guy but I wont be forever, people keep asking me how much I have lost... so here.. 55 lbs. Im dropping about 7.5-8 lbs a month there now you know. I expect the next 2 months to be a lot more since Im driving a lot harder daily and eating a lot better. I will continue to do what I do each day because Im investing here and this is investing in myself and following the same principles I wish someone could have taught me as a young man. I hope you find this information helpful and applicable. I am really fat and I do it everyday if I can I know you can too because Im still the fattest guy I know. And your nowhere near that messed up. So go invest in yourself and reap the rewards of your efforts. Have a great fourth of July and a great day everyone. -Miah out.
