The truth is that for two decades, Arizona’s universities, their presidents, and the Board of Regents have made an aggressive push to hike tuition. This long-term plan was designed before the recession. The DuVal campaign is also playing fast and loose with the facts. State aid only accounted for less than 30 percent of the universities’ total funding when tuition rates started skyrocketing. #azgov
