Open Carry Texas: Self-proclaimed war hero to appear on The Daily Show. CJ Grisham claims to be an Iraq war hero based on a fictitious account from the war. Nobody in his unit supports his statements. Grisham also tosses his Afghanistan war hero status on the table. Here is the reality: Grisham is a convicted criminal and proven fabricator. He was mentally unfit to complete his Afghanistan tour. He is called the Coward of Kandahar. The Coward of Kandahar has been arrested at least twice just in the past year. He was unable to complete his Afghanistan tour in 2012. He was at the time tweeting about mental illness and his fear of the Taliban. He never left base and saw no combat. His unit sent him home. After one arrest last year, Grisham raised about $50,000 in donations for a legal defense. He kept the money because he was represented pro bono. He published online that he was going shopping with the money. In the face of immediate backlash, Grisham then said his account was hacked. He then said that his wife had made the post using his account. Each time that Grisham gets into a corner, he throws a PTSD card, and publishes photos of his wife and children.
