Open Door Project Prayer Letter 88 25th September Give thanks for ... • the unanimous endorsement of the latest plans for the Open Door building by the PCC on 24 September • the success of the two recent fundraising events, the canal cruise and an evening with Brian Mawhinney attended by 40 and 35 people respectively • the successful launch of the new ODA website and all the work that Jenny Blyth has done to make that possible • the £498,152 that has been raised for the Open Door Appeal since it was launched in the autumn of 2010 (including the London Diocesan grant and loans and other interest-free loans) which, after expenditure (including £330,000 to purchase the building), gives a current balance on the Appeal: of £85,612 as at 23 September 2013 Pray especially for ... • members of the congregation to take the opportunity to look at the plans for the building in the church, including the detailed plans for Phase One • our architect, Mark Eddison, as he makes final adjustments to our planning application and building tender following the support of the PCC • 23 September to 1 November: plans for the public vote for one of two Lloyds Banking Group Community Fund grants each worth £3,000 for which we have been shortlisted. Each person can vote up to three times: on-line, by SMS text and in person at a branch of Lloyds Bank. Pray that we may use this opportunity to talk to family, friends and colleagues about the vision for the Open Door project - and encourage them to vote as well • a positive outcome to our application for a grant from the Trustees of Allchurches Trust who met this month to consider our application • plans to have a Christmas fundraising event this year
