Open Door of Relationship Revelation 3:8 KJV I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. Many years ago we owned a few goats we had this one goat that would stand for hours and stare at and open gate trying to decide if she wanted to walk thru the gate, if you know anything about goats this is not normal behavior for a goat their greatest ambition is to get out of the pasture. I have often thought about why this goat would not walk thru an open gate, I came to some conclusions maybe she was just too fearful about what was on the other side, or maybe it was just too easy to get out had to harder than this. We are given and open door that no man can shut let not our fears of what is on the other side keep us from walking through, and let not the suspicion of ease keep us out of our greatest blessings. Fear of failure beyond the open door often keeps from stepping over the threshold to the victory that Christ has provided for us. Why would our Lord and Savior open a door for you to fail? I heard Mark Hankins say “that if we could see what’s on the other side of the mountain we would move it out of the way.” Often we want to see what’s beyond the open door before we step through to all the possibilities if we could see it we would not need faith. Faith is the legal currency in the kingdom of God! Hebrews 11:6 Amplified) 6 But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out]. If we don’t come near we will not get a vision before we step through the door of the unseen possibilities on the other side. Two areas of the operation in faith are that God exists, and that he is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him out. Over the years the Lord has brought great revelation to us through dream and visions many of these dreams require interpretation. I asked the Lord why He didn’t just tell me without this process his answer surprised me he said to my spirit “because in the search for interpretation is where I would find him. You see he desire for us to get more acquainted with Him beyond the open door. Often we spend so much time looking back that we can’t stay focused on where he is today. This place beyond the open door will be the place of your greatest blessing to date and the next open door will be the place of even a greater blessing than the one of today but if we try to jump ahead we will not find the door of tomorrow because He still desires the process of relationship of the door of today. Many fail because of this avoidance of finding Him today! We often ask the Lord to bless what we are doing instead of going to the place where He is blessing!! Ruth 2:12 KJV) The LORD recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust. Wow great words of blessings pronounced over Ruth for walking through her door, but in this verse there is a great word used and we will miss the element that takes us through our open door and that is the word trust. Ruth was trusting in the Lord God of Israel in whom she had taken refuge and found her kinsman redeemer in Boaz in who she found the blessing of a lifetime!! We have found our kinsman Redeemer in Christ step through the open door and find your blessings of a lifetime!!! Pastor Mark Fox First Assembly of God Glen Rose, Texas
