Open The Gift! Luke 2:10-12 10 Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. 11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.” Do you believe the story of the birth of Jesus? Do you believe the He is the only begotten Son of God, born of Mary while she was yet a virgin? Does your heart tell you that heaven and hell are real, and that deep inside you hope that heaven is your eternal destination? Do you believe that Jesus suffered and died on the Cross as the payment for your sins, and that God the Father rose Him from the dead? If you believe, it is by faith you believe the truth of all these things, even when you can not fully explain everything. Today we celebrate the coming of our Savior, who is Jesus Christ the Lord. The very meaning of His name in Hebrew is: “The Lord saves in the authority of His anointed One!” The life and death of Christ was a gift from God to man. An unmerited gift of Grace, He is the fulfilling of of our Fathers promises and His plan to deliver us from sin and death into eternal life. Today the Savior has been born! If you know Jesus as your Lord, confess it with your mouth to everyone that you meet today. If you believe in His life, death and resurrection in your heart- if it is the truth to your soul; then you have already received the most precious of all gifts because of your faith. There is truly “no assembly required”, and no works needed to guarantee your entrance into heaven. If you really have never decided to follow Jesus and get to know Him better, now is the time. Just open the gift, and call upon Him. He is waiting to hold you in His arms and give the gift to you! Right now! If you need proof, take our Fathers words for it: Romans 10: 9-13 9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,”and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. 11 As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” 12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Enjoy this greatest gift that have ever been given. To all those who believe, I rejoice with you today. To those with questions or doubts, please write to me here at FB, or at FromJesus4You@gmail. I would love to talk with you! Merry Christmas to all!
