Open a Savings or Checking Account Online! With online banking - TopicsExpress

Open a Savings or Checking Account Online! With online banking you can open a new savings or checking account and start using it right away. Just follow these simple steps: 1. Enter name(s) for one or two joint owners on the account. You may leave both blank if you do not want any joint owners at this time. (A joint owner can be added later; contact the credit union if you need to do this at a later date.) 2. Enter an amount to be deposited to open the new account. For some types of accounts, you might see a minimum deposit required. You can deposit more if you wish, but you must transfer at least this amount. Otherwise leave the amount blank to open the account with a zero balance. If an amount is entered, choose one of your other accounts from the drop-down list to indicate where you want the money to come from to open the new account. For checking accounts only: You may see options for selecting an account to be used as overdraft protection on this account. Use the pull down list(s) provided to select an existing account from which funds can be transferred if needed to cover an incoming check. 3. Click the Open account button to proceed. 4. A confirmation page will appear. Click Looking good, continue when ready to proceed, or Oops, gotta fix something if you want to return to the previous page and make a change. 5. When you see Transaction Completed! message, your new account is now open! You can return to the Account Summary page to see the account in your account summary list. 6. In a few days you will receive mailed copies of forms and disclosures about your new account.
