Open call for architectural projects in Spain and Germany architectusomnibus.org The deadline for submission of proposals is 30th of January 2015 «Architectus Omnibus?» is the title of the 6th Spanish-German Meeting on Culture, organized by the Goethe-Institut and the Instituto Cervantes. Since the year 2002 both institutions hold every two years a meeting on current topics in order to facilitate the exchange of ideas and experiences and to strengthen the cooperation between German and Spanish cultural operators. The 6th Meeting on Culture will deal with new attitudes and ways to understand architecture and the architects working practices, keeping in mind the connection between the Spanish and the German context. The main topics of the meeting are the architects challenges and possibilities in the twentieth century. The increase of migration flows, the economic crisis and demands within the society, climate change, military conflicts and the growth of mega-cities are some of the developments that are encouraging todays architecture to experiment and to think of new possible ways to construct urban space for citizens. The architect of the twentieth century shall be capable to collaborate in the solution of societys problems. In this thematic framework the 6th Spanish-German Meeting on Culture starts with an open call for architecture offices and students to submit their ideas about how to fulfil the needs of todays society.
