Open mic night at Buzzbrews in Deep Ellum conducts its 4th display of local talent. Highlights from last week included Bob on kybd & vocals=Old time R & R. Original performance by Jonathan Skinner . Great poetry reading of Wilderness from Bruce Wetteroths poetry book Words Like These, by Matthew, a Buzzbrews fanatic w/a smile that inspires them . :-) Also, a tripping the lights fantastically, spinning artesan, along w/ Zouri Man & I blazing away rhumba to impress Jesses girl. ;-) Even longtime Buzzbrews phenom, Andre got up & gayed it up, singing a good version of In the dust by Mazzy Star accompanied by me on guitar. Then ruined it be singing the single gayest rendition of Girl from Ipanema possible. True story. Should be Garroted from Imagay-Ma Open mics/trainwrecks...sigh/lol. Topped off by Perry & I reunited & it feels so good. No Peaches and Herb, who my father produced, but still a fun roots rockin good time. Come out tonight or any Tuesday, w/ or w/o instrument. Derailing at 8pm, clean-up at midnight.
