Open policy for memberships This message is for all TKD lovers. Often we hear of people wanting to join the International Taekwon-Do Federation but for reasons unexplained find it difficult to become a member. Whether it be technical, human or otherwise, there are still those who think or are misinformed of the procedures. The ITF has a unique and open system where anyone regardless of past affiliation can join the ITF without going through certain people or channels. Of course all procedures are explained clearly by the Administration and will do its best to accomodate members or potential members. No person(s) has total control over members, the council, or country, Every Dojang or groups of Dojangs can join the ITF as its own entity. The ITF Administration has no prejudice or preference over members. We are aware that some unscrupolous people actually do attempt to misinform members as if they alone are given certain rights by the ITF in order to control and manipulate the members within their country or even other countries. This is not true. There is no such hidden policies. There is no rule in the ITF that certain individual(s) have monopoly over TKD practitioners. Everyone has the right to practice and join the ITF. We strongly recommend members that it is their right to contact directly with the ITF. THERE IS NO MIDDLEMAN! The Anvisors, Vice Presidents, Special Assistant to the President, Disciplinary and Reconciliation Committee and the Administration Coordinator will do its best to facilitate your requests and needs if and when needed.
